Hello Journal,
Macbeth has finally killed king Duncan. Don't tell anyone but we framed the servants. In reality Macbeth and I just killed Duncan. Macbeth is very scared and is freaking out. I just want him to calm down so he doesn't blow our cover. Things are very tense right now and we must be careful. Im just so excited because I am one step closer to becoming Queen of Scotland. :)

Hey,

I finally got my husband to kill king Duncan. It took a bit of pursuading but I got him to agree to kill king Duncan. It took a while but I put on some of my swag and got him to do it. He is already the Thane of Cawdor and that puts him in a position to become the King after Duncans untimely death. If everything goes according to plan then I will be the queen in now time. Im so excited and I feel like nothing can bring me down.

Hello,
Now that I think about it, what my husband said about the three witches does not seem so far fetched. It would be amazing if I could be queen Macbeth. I would have so much power and respect. Maybe if I can convince my husband to kill Duncan then everything would be set in place for him to become the King of Scotland. I will have to make him feel like he must or I wont love him anymore. That would make him do whatever I want. Then I could finally become the queen of Scotland.

Hello,
So today I got a letter from my Husband, Macbeth , and he claims that there were three witches that told him that he would become the thane Cawdor, Glamis and then eventually the king of all of Scotland. I kind of think this is a joke but I am not really sure. If it does happen I will be super happy cause I will get to ge queen and have all my dreams come true. It would be pretty cool to have to do nothing a get boss people around. So that is all that really happened today. I must go now.

English Individual Write-up

                The two essential questions that I feel connected best with my play are “What is Ambition” and “How far is someone willing to go to get what they want. These connect to the play because most of what happens throughout the play seems to be based on these two essential questions. In the beginning of the play MacBeth is introduced as a hero. He help King Duncan fight of some enemy invaders and then is made the Thane of Cawdor. However as the play progresses MacBeth is almost crazed with the thought of becoming King of Scotland. The EQ that connects with this is “What is ambition” because his Ambition is what causes him to lose everything. I selected these questions because  both of them have a significant effect on the play.

 

                By doing this play I learned that without the influence of Lady MacBeth,  MacBeth  would have not killed everyone. This is true because Lady Macbeth put all these thoughts in his hear which caused him to do what he did. By working in this group I learned that editing with other people is difficult because you all have different ideas on how you want it to look. I feel that the work was evenly distributed because we all filmed together and Jan made the script and me and Sedrick edited.

Is Macbeth a tragic hero

Is Macbeth a tragic hero. Some would say yes some would say no. I believe that Macbeth is a tragic hero and I am going to tell you why. For Macbeth to be a tragic hero he must have all of the 6 main traits of a tragic hero, which macbeth doeshave. The three main points that he does have are a sense of commitment, capacity for suffering and a belief in his own freedom.


First if all I will explain how he has a sense of commitment. He has a sense of commitment because when he kills duncan he says that once he kills Duncan it is done. Meaning that he accepts that once he kills the king there is no turning back. A good quote to show that he does have a sense of commitment is "I am in blood

Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more, Returning were as tedious as go o'er." (Act III, Scene IV) This is really good quote because he literally says that he cant go back because he is in so deep. 

Next he has a capacity for suffering because after he kills Duncan it almost drives him insane with guilt and he just loses bis marbles. This is very subtle because after he kills Duncan he goes on a killing spree and he doesn't are. Bur still this shows that he does infact have a capacity for suffering. "I have almost forgot the taste of fears; The time has been, my senses would have cool'd. To hear a night-shriek; and my fell of hair, Would at a dismal treatise rouse and stir. As life were in't: I have supp'd full with horrors; Direness, familiar to my slaughterous thoughts, Cannot once start me." (Act V, Scene V) This is a good quote because it shows that he feels bad about killing all the people he did. 

Lastly I will explain why he has belief in his own freedom. He has a belief in his own freedom because when accepts the outcomes of his freedom when he kills Duncan because when he kills Duncan he says "I go and it is done" (Act I, Scene i, Line 69) showing that he accepts the outcomes of his freedom. This is a good quote because he knows that once he kills Duncan there is no turning back and he must continue wit his "quest" to become king of Scotland.


As you can see Macbeth is a tragic hero. Even if he may not display all the six main traits at one time he does display them at one time or another which is all that matters. Macbeth is infact a Tragic hero.

Who I am for Macbeth

I want to be lady Macbeth because her personality changes a lot thorughtout the story.
I feel it changes more than anybody elses personality. I think that it would be very interesting to write about.
